Buttercream Cake Masterclass
25th October, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Learn to decorate a sandwiched sponge covered with a beautiful spray of buttercream flowers. The most popular cake style of the year, with tips and guidance from our expert cake maker, Louise.
Level/ Suitable for: Beginners to intermediate. Those with an interest in cakes and decorating.
Skills/ techniques/ content covered: You will learn to split, fill and crumb coat a sponge cake (freshly baked by us) Mask it with silky buttercream, then pipe using a variety of nozzles and techniques to create beautiful flowers. We will also cover colouring effects of buttercream. Your cake will be unique with your own freedom for arranging your flowers and colour scheme. The recipes for the cake and buttercream will all be provided.
Age suitability: 14 years upwards.
Suitable for: Not suitable for dairy-free, gluten-free or vegan diet. For any special dietary requirements, please contact us before booking.
Workshop Length: 2 hours.
Workshop Frequency: 3-4 times/ year.
