The Chocolate Course
Learn the skills and techniques of working with chocolate from the pro- Louise Claridge!
Level/ Suitable for: Beginners to intermediate. Those with an interest in chocolate/ cake decorating/ baking/ patisserie.
Skills/ techniques/ content covered: Chocolate tasting, chocolate origins, process of chocolate making, tempering chocolate, moulding chocolate truffle exterior, the making, flavouring and filling of soft truffle centre, hand shaping chocolate fans and cigarillos, piped decorations/ dessert toppers. All skills will work towards decorating your very own chocolate cake to take home.
Age suitability: 16 years upwards (or 14/ 15 years if accompanied by a full paying adult over the age of 18 years).
Suitable for: Vegetarians. Unsuitable for a vegan diet. For any other special dietary requirements, please contact us before booking.
Workshop Length: 5.5 hours to include a light lunch.
Workshop Frequency: 2-3 times a year.
What to bring: Feel free to bring along your own tin or Tupperware to package your goodies. Packaging will also be available.
Please note: There are elements of this workshop where you will be working in pairs. Induction hobs will be used during this workshop.
