Learn the tips and techniques for how to make magical macarons, just like those you would find in a Parisian Patisserie!
The menu: French Macarons
The Christmas menu: French Macarons finished with edible decorations and glitter sprays and a choice of Christmassy flavourings for buttercream (think Christmas pudding, mincemeat, hazelnut and chocolate, Irish Cream, peppermint…!)
Level/ Suitable for: Beginners to intermediate. Those with an interest in baking/ patisserie.
Skills/ techniques/ content covered: Whisking egg whites, making a sugar syrup, making an Italian meringue, macaronage, croutage, adapting recipes, baking, piping, and storage.
Age suitability: 16 years upwards (or 14/ 15 years if accompanied by a full paying adult over the age of 18 years. Please note that if 14/15 years old, participation when making/ using the sugar syrup will be restricted).
Suitable for: A gluten-free diet (please note we store and handle gluten-containing ingredients) and vegetarians. Can be adapted for a Dairy-free diet. A £2 supplement applies and is payable on the day of the workshop. Please inform us at time of placing your order in ‘additional information’ if you would like the menu to be adapted for this. For any other special dietary requirements, please contact us before booking.

Workshop Length: 2.5 hours.
Workshop Frequency: 2-3 times per month.
What to bring: Feel free to bring along your own tin or Tupperware to package your macarons. Presentation boxes will be available.
Please note: The macaron batter is made in pairs. You will pipe the shells and colour & flavour your filling independently. Tickets are sold individually. Inductions hobs will be used during this workshop.
