Buttercream Cake Masterclass
Learn to decorate a sandwiched sponge covered with a beautiful spray of buttercream flowers. The most popular cake style of the year, with tips and guidance from our expert cake maker, Louise. You’ll take away your freshly decorated 6inch cake, perfect for any celebration!
Level/ Suitable for: Beginners to intermediate. Those with an interest in cakes and decorating.
Skills/ techniques/ content covered: You will learn to split, fill and crumb coat an all butter sponge cake , mask it with silky buttercream, then pipe a covering of beautiful flowers using a variety of nozzles and techniques. The class will cover colouring effects of buttercream for realistic flowers. You will work independently on your own creation whilst following a guided tutorial of each flower variety. The recipes for the cake and buttercream will all be provided. Along with a list of all nozzles used in the session.
Age suitability: 14 years upwards.

What to bring: Feel free to bring along your own tin or tupperware to take away your cake. Packaging will also be available. Please note that this is a skills based decoration workshop and the cakes will be pre-baked in advance ready for decoration.
