Learn to cook a range of healthy and nutritious freezer-friendly foods for your weaning baby from scratch. While we cook, experienced cookery tutor and mum of two Holly will discuss various aspects of weaning such as ideal first foods, what might happen to milk feeds, coping with mess and allergies.
Level/ Suitable for: All levels.
Skills/ techniques/ content covered: This class covers both spoon-fed and baby-led weaning. You’ll start by learning how to make a combination of appropriately textured purees using fresh fruit and vegetables. Week two is all about baby breakfasts, potentially the most important meal of the day! During week three you’ll make some baby-friendly snacks for on-the-go and week four will be about adapting family meals to suit your baby, saving you time and stress in the kitchen. Age suitability: Anyone expecting/with or caring for a baby 0-6m, or those with older babies wanting a refresher.
Workshop Length: 1 hr a week over a 4 week course, 7:30-8:30pm each week.
Workshop frequency: 2-3 per year.
What to bring: If possible, please bring along some food containers or freezer bags to take your food home with you. Packaging will also be available if you forget 🙂
