Christmas Cake course

28th November 2017, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm


Enjoy a relaxing 3 week course, taking you through the whole process of making your very own Christmas cake ready for friends and family this year!

In this evening course every part of making and finishing a Christmas cake will be covered. In week one you will make your own rich fruit cake, using soaked luxury fruit, whilst this is baking you will start modelling your own Christmas themed toppers; come with your own ideas, or be inspired as you work. The second week will involve covering your cake with marzipan to create a smooth finish, icing your boards ready and continuing with your modelling and design work. In the final week you will be shown how to cover a cake immaculately, and how to make the final touches to your Christmas cake, including piping work.

Louise, our cake specialist, will be with you each step of the way, to guide and give new ideas. This is a perfect class for anyone who has never done any cake decorating, for anyone who has struggled with the task of making a Christmas cake before, or anyone looking for fool-proof tips and new ideas.

All courses and workshops include tuition, ingredients, packaging and recipe cards as well as provision of equipment and an apron during the session.

Please contact us before booking on if you have any special dietary needs as we endeavor to adapt recipes for special diets, however we are not always able to substitute ingredients.

Bookings can be made up to 24 hours before the workshop commences (subject to availability of places).
