A Taste of Marrakech

The menu: Chicken Tagine Makfoul- Taktouka salad- Za’atar taboon flatbread
Level/ Suitable for: Beginners to intermediate. Those with an interest in world cuisine/ expanding their recipe repertoire.
Skills/ techniques/ content covered: Storing and cooking spices, browning meat, Moroccan spices, rendering fat, shaping and cooking flatbread, blanching and refreshing vegetables, knife skills, adapting recipes.
Age suitability: 16 years upwards.
Suitable for: A dairy-free diet. Can be adapted for a vegetarian or vegan diet (subject to two places being purchased at the same time). Can also be adapted for a gluten-free diet, a £2 supplement applies and is payable on the day of the workshop. Please inform us at time of placing your order in ‘additional information’ if you would like the menu to be adapted for any of these. For any other special dietary requirements, please contact us before booking.
Tutor: Claire, Madeleine, or Louise.
Workshop Length: 2 hours + 30 minutes dining.
Workshop Frequency: 1-2 times per month.
What to bring: Just yourself! Feel free to bring a bottle of beer or wine to enjoy as you cook and eat! Our expert Wine Tutor Rebecca Quayle-Long recommends:
- A Spanish white such as Godello
All courses and workshops include tuition, ingredients, packaging and recipe cards as well as provision of equipment and an apron during the session.
Please contact us before booking on if you have any special dietary needs as we endeavor to adapt recipes for special diets, however we are not always able to substitute ingredients.
