These granola bites are a great nutritious alternative to sweets and chocolate, perfect for kids lunch boxes, or as an after-school treat!

Difficulty level: Simple
Serves: 14 people


  • 50g butter, plus extra for greasing
  • 100g porridge oats
  • 50g raisins or other dried fruit
  • 25g dried apple
  • 1 tbsp syrup or honey
  • 50g light muscovado sugar


1.Heat oven to 160C/fan 140C/gas 3.

2.Butter and line the base of a mini bun tin.

3.Warm the butter, honey and sugar in a pan, stirring until butter is melted.

4.Add the oats, raisins and dried apple.

5.Mix until all the oats are well coated.

6.Spoon into the tin holes (makes 14-16 mini bites) press down lightly, then bake for10-15 minutes.

7.Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from tin.
